| The North Face Chugach 25 Board Backpack is your pack of choice for in-bounds hiking at ski resorts, short backcountry trips, and hardcore kicker building. This compact winter pack features the most secure carrying system for snowboards on the market—The North Face's Fly-Trap carrying system. When you're carrying 15 pounds of alpine equipment on your back plus gear and clothes, the last thing you want to deal with is a board flopping around in its straps. This causes the load to shift frequently, leaving you tired and sore, or worse: unbalanced on an exposed climb. The Fly-Trap carrying system mounts boards vertically, and with one pull, the sticky, rubbery compound lining the straps grips your plank and compresses it into the body of the pack. This creates an incredibly stable load which is easily supported by the Chugach 25 Board's PE sheet suspension. A super-tough shovel sleeve protects the pack and your shovel from board edges, and dual tubes hold ice axes, shovel handles, probes, and collapsible poles. Tool loops on the hipbelt keep the items you need close at hand. |
